The most powerful influencers in our schools should not be kids who don’t care, the kids who curse, and the kids who bully. They should be the ones who stand up for and model what is good and godly.

I heard it my fair share of times when I was young: Because I said so, that’s why. After all, she was my mom. If she told me to do the dishes, I did the dishes. If she told me to fold laundry, I folded laundry. If she told me to vacuum the living room carpet, I did.

Playing it safe is more dangerous than you think.
It’s a tough call as a dad, as a leader, as a Christian… how much do I loosen the reins or stick my neck out? The truth is, it is dangerous out there. But I don’t think out there is the most dangerous thing we face.
Did you mean Who is the disciplinarian? or Who punishes the kids?
I couldn’t answer as they wished. It’s not that my kids never do anything wrong, it’s just that, in our household, discipline is proactive, not reactive. We don’t punish them for doing wrong. We prepare them to do right.
